[Printable] Moon Gazing Journal

Updated: May 30, 2020

When was the last time you stopped and really looked at the moon? A moon journal is a great way to slow down and take notice of the moon.

Every night go outside and find the moon. Sketch what the moon looks like and write down any observations you have. Does it look brighter or bigger than normal? Can you see darker spots on it? Do you notice any bright stars around it?

Try and track the moon for a month to watch its full cycle. You will notice the moon gradually appears smaller and larger throughout the month.

You can record your observations in any notebook or use the template provided below.

Happy moon watching!
